Intermediate Architect

Nelligan White Architects is seeking to hire intermediate architects with 3-5 years experience. This is an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the work, including all phases of our projects. An interest in the challenging public-sector work is highly desirable.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare original architectural plans, diagrams and data visualization.
  • Perform limited design assignments under general supervision.
  • Independently evaluate, select and apply standard planning techniques, procedures, and criteria
  • Using judgment for minor adaptations and modifications.
  • Recommend procedures in planning matters.
  • Work from plans/designs of others to compile data and perform design computations.
  • Assist in writing specifications.
  • Visits construction sites to gather information.
  • Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and independently provides solutions for these objectives.
  • Support more senior planners and architects on large projects.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience with a professional degree in Architecture preferred
  • High proficiency with AutoCAD. Adobe Suite and Revit knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and ability to grasp complex functional program requirements.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment with a collaborative and professional work ethic.

Construction Administration Clerk

Nelligan White Architects seeks a Construction Administration Clerk to join our team.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Keeps track of construction schedule.
• Retrieves and submits documents as requested.
• Gathers and files documents according to an established organizational system.
• Maintains project files and logs.
• Makes appropriate phone calls and arranges meetings as requested.
• Manages equipment and supplies.
• Handles all submittals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• One to three years experience a plus.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
• Can effectively interact with partners, vendors and team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good listening skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Experience filing and organizing documents at a high volume.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Marketing Manager

Nelligan White Architects seeks an energetic, resourceful, and responsible Marketing Manager to join our team.

The Marketing Manager will oversee all strategic pursuits under the Principal Partners. The ideal candidate could be a marketing professional with 5 or more years in the A&E field, or an architect/designer experienced in business development. Activities will include: research and teaming, producing qualifications packages, spearheading RFP review discussions to decide which opportunities to pursue, leading proposals, and preparing materials for client interviews. The Manager will work closely with leadership and will guide and mentor other marketing staff during the hunt for new business opportunities.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead new business opportunity discussions
  • Communicate and manage deadlines between the team and Principal Partners
  • Coordinate and develop all aspects of a proposal, including the management of sub-consultants, all writing portions, project spreads, and production
  • Research public RFPs and RFQs
  • Assist with writing copy on project description and team approach for RFPs
  • Manage closeout process scheduling debriefs
  • Tracking submissions and hit rates
  • Update and maintain internal marketing database
  • Write press releases for website and some online venues (Architizer, Archinect, etc.)
  • Prepare project award submissions
  • Manage website updates
  • Maintain company graphic standards across all printed and electronic materials
  • Maintain existing image libraries and obtain new imagery as required
  • Mentor and manage staff on all marketing pursuits

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong writing, research, and organizational skills
  • Basic graphic design skills
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines, manage work-flow, and manage priorities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to take ownership
  • Interest in architecture and design a plus
  • Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Architecture, Design, Journalism, Communications, English, or Art/Architectural History

Required Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Proficiency in InDesign is essential)
  • Photography skills a plus
  • Website development skills a plus
